Our Journey So Far
AgileWeb Custom Systems Innovations Ltd was born in 2022—in a shared hostel room at a local university. With one second-hand laptop, free public Wi-Fi, and endless cups of black tea, three students passionate about code and problem-solving started building simple websites for local businesses. We called ourselves “AgileWeb”—a name that captured our obsession with speed, flexibility, and modern digital practices.
We had no seed funding or fancy offices—only a bold mission: to make technology accessible and meaningful for African enterprises.
United by our belief in the power of technology to create opportunity, we took on small freelance projects—developing websites, fixing code, and offering cybersecurity advice to neighborhood shops and local organizations. What began as passion work quickly snowballed.
Within a year, AgileWeb was handling full-scale digital projects for schools, NGOs, and businesses across Kenya. But development alone wasn’t enough. We witnessed the widening digital skills gap and knew we had to do more. That’s when we launched AgileWeb Academy—an online learning platform focused on equipping the next generation of developers, cybersecurity professionals, and DevOps engineers.
Every challenge became a lesson. Every client, a long-term partner. From our humble, bootstrapped beginnings, AgileWeb has grown into a full-fledged innovation hub—serving clients across East Africa and beyond with secure, scalable solutions and training programs designed for real-world impact.
